A Flourishing Brand from the Ground Up
High Ground has spent the last 15 years cultivating a reputation for beautifully designed gardens, with a portfolio of over 750 completed projects. When the time came to reposition the business and clearly define its growing areas of expertise, Tide was brought in to help create something bold, memorable, and scalable. The result? A strong and fun trio of brands: I Begg Your Garden! for garden services, Oh My Podd! for bespoke garden pods, and What The Dekk! for stylish decking installations.
We’ve worked with High Ground on a retained basis for over a year, acting as their full-service creative and marketing partner. From initial brand architecture, through to logo design, colour palettes, tone of voice, and brand guidelines, every element has been carefully considered to reflect the personality and ambition of this fun, dynamic business.
Each sub-brand has its own fully responsive WordPress website, offering a seamless user experience with intuitive navigation and a clean CMS for easy client updates. Features include an interactive Garden Scorecard to help users understand their needs, a stunning portfolio of past projects, a regularly updated blog, and Calendly-integrated consultation booking.
A highlight of the project has been the development of the launch campaign for I Begg Your Garden! — a creative local-first initiative designed to turn heads and spark conversations. With playful messaging and bold design, campaign materials include beer mats, flyers, and eye-catching billboards — one of which can be seen displayed on this page.
In addition to the digital work, Tide has designed a full suite of physical brand materials: stationery, welcome packs, brochures, van wraps, staff uniforms, merchandise, and more. We’ve also led the creative and content direction for social media, producing templates, branded assets, with ongoing management and performance tracking to support engagement and growth.
Most recently, we also created LumiPodd, a new sub-site for High Ground’s education-focused pod installations. This continues the family of brands with a clean, accessible site built for speed and functionality — and just like the rest, built in WordPress with full CMS control. Read more here.
From initial seed to fully blossoming brand family, Tide is proud to continue supporting High Ground’s mission to create outdoor spaces that are — as they say — good for the soul.
Approach
1
Understanding the Clients Needs
Through a series of discovery sessions, we uncovered the full scope of the client’s needs: to build an entirely new brand for their established garden business, clearly defined in three distinct product offerings, develop all supporting digital and marketing assets, and provide ongoing monthly support as their retained agency.
2
Careful Planning
Delivering on every requirement, on time and within budget, meant meticulous planning from the start. We held weekly meetings with the client, developing visuals, sitemaps, user flows, and wireframes to ensure we had a clear direction.
3
Choosing the Right Tech
Given the client’s familiarity with WordPress, it was the natural choice for the build. We designed a flexible, easy-to-update site that could be seamlessly duplicated for each new product, with a scalable theme ready to support the need for up to seven sites in the future.
4
Database Integration
To streamline client interactions, we embedded Calendly directly into the site, making it simple for customers to schedule consultations. We also integrated Score, enabling the creation of tailored scorecards to capture client priorities for their new outdoor spaces, and helping the business qualify leads and personalise proposals.
5
Data Migration and Link Audit
We ensured that everything from business cards to the full websites consistently reflected the new brand and colour palette. Each asset was designed to work seamlessly across both print and digital formats, maintaining a consistent and professional look.
6
Testing & Optimisation
Before launch, we worked with the client to conduct comprehensive testing, reviewing every element of the site for cross-platform optimisation. Performance was carefully measured to ensure speed, stability, and a seamless user experience.
Challenges
Evolving Business Plan
Despite thorough initial planning, the client’s business plan continued to evolve throughout the project. This required us to pivot multiple times, shifting our focus to make sure we delivered on moving deadlines.
An Adaptable Design
Our job was to create a web design style and template that could be seamlessly adapted for multiple brands. The framework needed to work with minimal style changes, ensuring consistency while allowing each brand, covering gardens, garden pods, and decking, to have its own distinct identity.
Helping the Client Adapt
While the client had some prior WordPress experience, the new site introduced a far more powerful platform with expanded capabilities. Guiding them through these features was essential, ensuring they felt confident in managing and updating content.
